Talking about OCD issues and trying to <em>figure out </em>what the thoughts mean can only lead to more severe OCD symptoms. A therapist who specializes in OCD will be well aware that the content of the thoughts is not important. The important issue is not responding to the thoughts in a ritualistic way.
